Florence is modeled after a panther chameleon. Though chameleons aren’t the fastest moving creatures, I posed her as if she was about to run off, giving a wry smile to the viewer before she disappears.
Florence is modeled in Cosclay. Additional details, such as her claws and minuscule scales were made with acrylic gel mediums. She is painted with acrylic and features dichroic glass eyes that follow the viewer. She stands in an environment composed of real and artificial moss, dried leaves, floaters, rocks, and powdered pigment for texture. She is connected to the base with magnets so that she can be removed if necessary.
